Yogi Berra

A cornerstone of the Yankees dynasty and an American icon, Yogi Berra is one of the most recognizable figures in the history of sports.  Famous for his seemingly unintentional turns of phrase (“It ain’t over ’til it’s over!”), he was arguably the greatest catcher in baseball history.  He steered the Yankees to 10 World Championships and appeared in 21 World Series total as a player, coach and manager, a record that may stand forever.

Yogi was the first living member of the Hall of Fame to be photographed for The Project.
