Don Sutton debuted in 1966 and as a 21-year old right-hander joined a very formidable Los Angeles pitching staff. He would go on to be the team’s winningest pitcher with 233 victories as a Dodger. He was a model of consistency reaching double figure win totals in 21 of his 23 seasons. He totaled 324 wins, 58 shutouts, 3574 strikeouts, and throughout his long career with the Dodgers, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics and California Angels he unbelievably never missed a turn in the rotation. Sutton was a 4 time National League All-Star and was named the game’s MVP in 1977. His #20 was retired by the Dodgers in 1998.
